About Naughton Media
Naughton Media is run by Gerard Naughton, an award-winning former press officer and journalist.
Ged has worked as a reporter, feature-writer, reviewer and columnist, for a local daily paper in the North East of England, and in the national press office of CAFOD - one of the biggest UK overseas development charities - on stories of regional, national and international interest.
In 2000, he was presented with the 'Best Public Information Campaign by an NGO' award by Jon Snow, on behalf of CAFOD, at the One World Media Awards in London. The award was for his media strategy around a football tour of ex-child soldiers and former streetkids from Liberia, West Africa, which achieved 69 media hits in three weeks - from national TV, radio and press, to local media.
